The Chilean North American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile) has once again demonstrated its commitment to sustainability, organizing a day that focused on two of the most important challenges for the country: water resilience and the energy transition.
During the day, AmCham partners visited two cutting-edge projects. The first, a Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) initiative in Rinconada de Maipú, funded by Microsoft, seeks to improve water retention and aquifer recharge, a key aspect to address the water crisis in Chile.
The second outstanding project was the visit to the Green Hydrogen Plant at the Walmart distribution center in Quilicura, in collaboration with ENGIE, which marks a milestone as the first industrial-scale green hydrogen plant in Latin America.
These advances underline the importance of collaboration between the private sector and international organizations to promote solutions that favor a circular and sustainable economy. At Mercado Circular, we continue to promote these types of innovations that drive the transition towards a cleaner and more resource-efficient future.
